NEW FIRST HOME PLAN FOR SASKATCHEWAN

Our Provincial Government has announced a new First Home Plan for Saskatchewan residents - specifically students that qualify for the Graduate Retention Program (GRP). Beginning May 1, 2016, GRP recipients will be able to use up to $10,000 of their unused GRP benefits toward the down payment on the purchase of a first home.

The Government realizes that many young people find that once they finish their education and start working, they could afford to make monthly mortgage payments on a new home but they have a hard time saving up enough money to make the initial down payment. This program is designed to help with that.
