TRADEMARK 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
I grew up watching the Christmas specials of my favourite television shows… like Oprah’s Favourite Things and Ellen’s 12 Days of Christmas. And honestly it looked so fun to give back and be Santa to those around. In our October planning meeting, the idea came up to give back to the community who has supported us this past year. I knew that finally playing Oprah was the answer!
The thing is, we didn’t want to give just ANYTHING away, we wanted to continue the support local theme and introduce our instagram followers to other local companies that have supported us. We care about our businesses here in Regina. They’re our neighbours, their kids play on the same sports teams, and we likely run into each other at our favourite coffee shops here in town.
What I’ve learned is local businesses run on relationships and love. Our city is pretty blessed to have some big hitters who are willing to think outside the box, go against the grain, and try new things. But we also believe in loving and supporting each others businesses. We cheer for them, we come together in the good and in bad, and encourage our friends to keep going! For us, this is why we are entering into year 13 of business.
A huge thank you to our friends who came on board and helped us spread the Christmas cheer! Here are our amazing friends and why we chose to partner with them!

We love their dedication to other small businesses and how they are always willing to source our ideas and make our clients dreams come true! From nails, screws and tools to large products such as windows, doors, and garage doors - they have everything you are looking for!
DAY TWELVE: Queen City Cakes @queencity_cakes
WINNER: @alisoncourtmc
Seriously, everything this team bakes is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND DELISH!! The Queen City Cakes team is crazy talented and creative. I am not sure if there is anything they can’t do. Besides being crazy talented they also have the largest hearts. They were donating their famous macarons, cake truffles, chocolate bark, and a gorgeous candle… BUT on the night before their giveaway, Jared called me and said he wanted to kick it up a notch and added the gingerbread village!! Thank you so much Queen City Cakes for ending our 12 days with the best surprise ever!
Although our 12 days ended…. we weren’t finished yet!
On DAY 13 we called on our followers to nominate a local charity that would receive a $250 donation from Trademark Homes! But we work with such amazing trades and suppliers that when they heard about this, 12 of them wanted to match our donation. WOW! After reviewing the nominated charities (that was such a hard decision) we decided that our donations would be given to the Children’s Wish Foundation Saskatchewan to help local children who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses and bring their wishes to life! What was also exciting to learn was that Clearwater Seafood was matching donations made by the end of December! So our $3250 could now be $6500!! Talk about the gift of giving!
As we sit back and look at the past 2 weeks it’s crazy to see how much love and support this received. Our goal was to introduce Regina to other local businesses and encourage everyone to shop local this season. But in the end it became so much more. It became about community, love, and the gift of giving. Not just for those who won our daily contests but also giving to those who need it most! I love that in the end we were able to make some wishes come true with a donation to the Children’s Wish Foundation Saskatchewan! That’s the true spirit of Christmas.
